GOTCHA DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were told our appointment was at 2 or 3 but when our guide met us at the airport at 11 she said "we go now". She took us to the orphanage and while I was signing documents, they brought her in. She was grinning from ear to ear and said "mommy". It all happened so fast, I didn't have time to get nervous. They were very nice and gave me several gifts for her. I was told she was the smartest one there. She loves music and dance.

She is sitting in my lap wanting to type. She has eaten everything we have given her. Great appetite!

Oh, she says "daddy" and "bubba" when she sees their picture!

More later! I have to go play with my doll!

We all prayed about specific things and God delivered! And she already is a south Mississippi girl with that hearty appetite!!! haha! I bet Keith and Cade are grinning from ear to ear! Enjoy every moment with your doll! She is certainly a doll! We are coming to the airport and looking forward to meeting our newest southern belle! I love you and I will continue to pray for you!

Mia Grace is here looking at the computer with me, and she said, "Christina, come to my home and play with me...and go to my school..."

  4. I showed Ron this post and he reminded me that we arrived at the airport in Mallory's province at 11:00 and when our guide met us there she told us "babies are here, we go now!" and our appointment was to get them at 3:00! That is too cool that the same thing happened to you too! In our case we had to run straight to our hotel to get a bottle and diaper bag ready because nobody in our travel group was prepared. We "thought" we had several hours to get settled in and get ready for our babies. Like you, I didn't have much time to get nervous. I just remember telling Ron in our hotel room "we are about to become parents!!!!!".
Just wanted to share this story with you. I thought it was really neat how our situation was the same as yours.
    Love you my friend,
    Adele

I have to ask, was gotcha day the 18th or 19th? We just celebrated our 6th "God gave us Evelyn day" on the 18th. Time does fly. Enjoy it all!

God is the giver of all good things...He has given Christina to you and you to Christina!!Remember, we are His adopted children... adoption is such a beautiful picture of our relationship to the Father...Oh how much you can teach Christina about His love because of her adoption...Thank you God for love in action!

  10. As I sat here and read all the exciting news about your "long awaited" Christina, I couldn't help but have chills all over and tears in my eyes. I can only imagine the excitement and overwhelming feelings you are having at this time! I can't wait to meet this precious little angel God has so graciously blessed your family with. Seeing your face as you hold her in your arms is beautiful....you have just "given birth" to a child that was meant to be yours from the very beginning. She is beautiful and so blessed beyond measure. I know you can't wait to get her "home" to meet all the friends and family who have been praying for her. I pray for your safe return and I look forward to meeting her and telling her what a special "mommy" she has. God bless you ALL in a big way! Love you ~ Tina
